Monotype  is a singular image that cannot be replicated. Its one unique image and work. 

Monoprints are variations of a particular print image Matrix.

A Monoprint is when a printed image is altered, by drawing or painting, being applied to the printed image at a later point, which is then classified as hand coloured print.

A Monoprint explores variations of a particular print Matrix, by including elements of another printmaking process, such as Linocut, Lithography, Screenprinting etc to the original Matrix.
